  2. What’s the difference between Apps/Pages/People?
    • Apps: Listed mobile Apps in the selected country on APPlist that are categorized and filtered to give you the best experience in finding the app you’re looking for and the reviews about it.
    • Pages: Listed pages in the selected country on APPlist that are categorized and filtered to give you the best experience in surfing or searching for businesses in that country.

      All information related to the page is described including contact information, locations, gallery and more.

    • People: Listed profiles of people that are set public in the selected country on APPlist that are categorized and filtered to give you the best experience in searching or surfing people.

      People could be public figures in the country, celebrities, artists, philanthropists, professionals, freelancers …etc.

      All information related to the profile described including followers, reviews, portfolio, contact information, social media links and more.


  3. What’s the difference between Main Category, Sub Category and Tags?

    • A group of sectors (Sub-Categories) fall under one domain.
    • Main Categories may differ from a country to another.
    • No tags fall directly under a Main Category. All tags fall under Sub-Categories.

    Sub-Category

    • A group of Listings fall under one narrowed criteria and have similar characteristic.
    • Tags fall directly under Sub-Categories.
    • A Sub-Category can be premium for promotional purposes.

    Tags

    • Labels that reflect a specific service/feature/product/specialty.
    • Tags support the search results and find related Listings related to a specific tag.

  5. What’s a Featured Listing?
    • A Featured Listing shows always on the country homepage of APPlist and inside categories as featured.
    • Featured Listings are marked with a golden star icon.
    • Featured Listings are paid as a part of promotion, yet they’re wisely picked to be important and helpful for the user in the country.
    • Featured Listings are paid; as they’re made for bigger exposure and faster appearance in the search results/categories as well as in-body advertisings, such as sponsored or Featured Listings.
  6. What’s a Premium Sub-Category? And how to get one?
    • You can apply for your own Sub-Category if you have several Listings going under the same Sub-Category. The premium Sub-Category is paid and should not contain less than 20 Listings submitted in it, in order to get it approved and published. It could be a specific group of companies, or a collection of apps by the same company, or a group of people under one domain (e.g. Sports team).
    • You can see Premium Sub-Category in the beginning of each category entry with a label identifying it among the other Sub-Categories.
  7. What’s a Header Premium Banner Sub-Category Sponsor?
    • A header premium banner shows always on the header of Main Category, Sub-Category, Listing details, or (list of Listings) as a promotional banner.
    • This advertisement is paid as a part of promotion, yet they’re wisely picked to be important and helpful for the user in the country.
  8. What are the feeds?
    • The feeds are notifications of the activities of Listings that you follow. Such as linking an app or mirroring another.
    • The APPlister can post a feed as an announcement that everyone who follows that App/Page/People will be notified in feeds. For example a Page announcing reaching a number of employees or outlets, or an App announcing a number of downloads or an upcoming update, or People profile (a football player) announcing signing a contract with a new sports club. And whoever is following that App/Page/Profile will be able to see those feeds every time they’re on APPlist

    • Popular categories of Apps, Pages and People that are recommended by APPlist for users displayed on the homepage of the selected country.

    8.1. What does ‘My Exploring Luck’ button do?
    ‘My Exploring Luck’ button picks a random popular category for you.

    • Popular Listings are listings picked by APPlist according to several factors such as views, reviews, followers, engagement …etc.

  11. What are Recent Listings?
    • Recent Apps/Pages/People is a section of the latest published listings in every selected country.
  12. What’s a Mirrored Listing?
    • A Mirrored Listing is the existence of the same Apps, Pages or People in different Sub-Categories and/or different countries.
    • To save the duplication for posting an App or a Page or a People profile that has different functionality in terms of localization or categorization, APPlist created Mirrored Listings.
    • Mirrored Listing has the same description, content, reviews, comments, rating, followers…etc. and different only with the Sub-Category and/or location.
    • Mirrored listings can have different tags.
  13. What’s a Linked Listing?
    • Linked Listing is made to facilitate the reach to Listings that are connected with mutual features and make it easier to find Listings under the same group, company, profile…etc.
    • A Linked Listing could be a Listing that goes under the same company or group of companies that you’d be interested in especially that it’s in the same field.
    • Linked Listing can be a linked app, where all the Linked Apps are sorted posted by the same company or group of companies and linked to the profile you’re on.
    • Linked Listing can be a linked page, where all the linked pages (businesses/areas of interest) are sorted and posted by the same company or group of companies and linked to the profile you’re on.
    • Linked Listing can be linked people, where all the people concerned with the business such as executives and founders of the company or group of companies are sorted, posted and linked to the Listing you’re on.
  14. What’s the difference between Linked Listings & Mirrored Listings?
    • Mirrored Listings have the same descriptions, followers, reviews, comments, and even feeds while Linked Listings have them different.
    • Mirrored Listings are posted by only one APPlister, while Linked Listings could be posted by one or more different APPlisters.

  15. What’s my handle? And can I change it?
    • The handle is a direct link to the App/Page/Profile on APPlist. It's a unique name used to facilitate the way you share the App, Page or Profile with others.
    • Your Profile in people listing handle is the unique name that goes in your APPlist link for your profile that you can share anywhere. The link looks like this https://APPlist.com/myname, where ‘myname’ is your handle.
    • You can request to change your handle by going to user’s dashboard -> ‘My Profile’ under ‘APPlister Area’ section and in the handle field change the handle to the new one and click on Submit.
    • Requesting to change the handle requires reviewing by APPlist admins to make sure the handle’s name is official and not already taken.
  16. Is sign up for free? Or do I have to pay a subscription fee?
    • Yes, signing up to APPlist or becoming an APPlister is free.
    • You can also browse Listings as a guest without signing up, but any interaction such as commenting, leaving reviews, following, requires you to sign up.
  17. Can I follow any App/Page/People?
    • Yes. When you sign up to APPlist you can follow any App/Page/People and stay up-to-date to their feeds.
    • Furthermore, following Listings can help APPlist recognize what you’re interested in the most, in order to suggest and recommend Apps/Pages/People to you.

  18. How are recommended for you listings shown?
    • Smart suggestion algorithm works intelligently depending on your account interests.
    • APPlist analyzes all your searching, reviewing and following data in order to provide you with the best suggestions of recommended Apps/Pages/People every time you visit APPlist.
  19. What’s the fastest way to look for an App/Page/Profile ?
    • You can easily use the search bar to write the first letters of the App/Page/Person and the autocomplete will help you to check which one or you click search and see it in the results.
    • Alternatively you can browse through Apps/Pages/people, pick the Main Category and then the Sub-Category, then click on the relevant tags to filter and reach the exact type of Apps/Pages/People you’re looking for.

  20. How can I share an App, Page or Profile?
    • You can visit the Listing of Apps/Pages/People and on the top of it next to the App/Page/Profile’s name you’ll see a share button, click on it and choose the channel you want to share it on.
  21. When does the APPlister link Apps with other Apps. (Apps – Apps)?

    APPlister links Apps with other Apps when the app is made by the same developer or by the same group of companies. Additionally the APPlister can suggest the reason of linking an app to another app through picking ‘Other’ then specifying the reason that would be subject to Moderator Approval. This also helps developing more ideas of linking through APPlisters.

  22. When does the APPlister link Apps with Pages and vice versa. (Apps – Pages) & (Pages – Apps)?

    APPlister links Apps with Pages when the app is made by the same company or group of companies, institute…etc. Additionally the APPlister can suggest the reason of linking an app to a page or vice versa through picking ‘Other’ then specifying the reason that would be subject to Moderator Approval. This also helps developing more ideas of linking through APPlisters.

  23. When does the APPlister link Apps with People and vice versa? (Apps – People) & (People – Apps)?

    APPlister links Apps with People profiles when the profiles work in the same company that made the app.

    Profiles of people could be also profiles of people studying in the same Educational Institution or profiles of players in the same team.

    Additionally the APPlister can suggest the reason of linking an app to people profile or vice versa through picking ‘Other’ then specifying the reason that would be subject to Moderator Approval. This also helps developing more ideas of linking through APPlisters.

  24. When does the APPlister link Pages with other Pages? (Pages – Pages)?

    APPlister links pages with other pages when the pages represent or belong to the same company or the pages are companies of the same group of companies

    Additionally the APPlister can suggest the reason of linking the page through picking ‘Other’ then specifying the reason that would be subject to Moderator Approval. This also helps developing more ideas of linking through APPlisters.

  25. When does the APPlister link Pages with People and vice versa? (Pages – People) & (People – Pages)?

    APPlister links pages with people profiles and vice versa when the people profiles work in the same company, foundation..etc.

    Additionally the APPlister can suggest the reason of linking the page through picking ‘Other’ then specifying the reason that would be subject to Moderator Approval. This also helps developing more ideas of linking through APPlisters.

  28. Who can write a review & rate a listing? And how does it help?
    • Logged in users (APPlisters) can write a review about Apps/Pages/People with ratings.
    • Reviews help other users to evaluate the App/Page/People and read what others say about it.
    • Logged-in users can rate Apps/Pages/People without entering reviews.
  29. How to list a new App?
    Posting on APPlist is easy and only takes a few moments. Follow the steps below:
    • Make sure you’re logged in and head to user’s dashboard and go to ‘My Apps’ click on ‘Add a New App’
    • Write the name of the App
    • Write the handle of the App on APPlist (The direct link to the App)
    • Choose the icon for the App
    • Choose the header image for the App
    • Choose the display country
    • Choose the Category of the App
    • Choose the Sub-Category of the App
    • Add at least one tag, while writing the tag autocomplete appears; In case the tag doesn’t exist in our tag pool, you can submit the new tag as a suggestion which will go under process to be approved and officially added in APPlist.
    • Now you have the primary categorization of this Listing.
    • You can repeat the previous 4 steps (Country – Category – Sub-Category – Tag) to create Mirrors.
    • Type the general description for the app.
    • Type features of the app for each platform version the App (iOS, Android).
    • Add the links to download the app for each platform version of the app (AppStore, Google Playstore).
    • Browse or Drag and drop pictures of the App in the gallery space to upload them for each version of the app and in each device (e.g. iPhone, iPad, iWatch, Mac…etc.)
    • If you have linked Apps/Pages/People (Read here what Linked Listings are) you can pick your linked Apps/Pages/People to this App by writing the name in the linked Listings field, select the Listing Type and then add it. You can add more than one linked App/Page/Person. (Linked Listings not posted by you are subject to the approval of the APPlister who posted them).
    • Choose whether you want to feature the App or not. (Read more about Featured Listing)
    • Make sure you read & agree to the Terms of Service.
    • Click Submit to submit the app for review.

    Note: You can also save the Listing as a draft if you don’t wish to submit it immediately and you’d want to get back to it at any time.

  30. How to list a new Page?
    Posting on APPlist is easy and only takes a few moments. Follow the steps below:
    • Make sure you’re logged in and head to user’s dashboard and go to ‘My Pages’ click on ‘Add a New Page’
    • Write the name of the Page
    • Write the handle of the Page on APPlist (The direct link to the Page)
    • Choose the icon for the Page (Or it could be the logo of the business, organization, foundation…etc.)
    • Choose the header image for the Page
    • Choose the display country.
    • Choose the Category of the Page
    • Choose the Sub-Category of the Page
    • Add at least one tag, while writing the tag autocomplete appears; In case the tag doesn’t exist in our tag pool, you can submit the new tag as a suggestion which will go under process to be approved and officially added in APPlist.
    • Now you have the primary categorization of this Listing.
    • You can repeat the previous 4 steps (Country – Category – Sub-Category – Tag) to create Mirrors.
    • Type the general description about the Page.
    • Add location information (You can click on the plus sign to add more locations or on the minus sign to remove any)
    • contacts information of the Page (You can click on the plus sign to add more contact information or on the minus sign to remove any)
    • Add the links of the Page (You can click on the plus sign to add more links or on the minus sign to remove any)
    • Add the active timings of the Page including working days and hours.
    • Browse or Drag and drop pictures of the Page in the gallery space to upload them into the Page’s gallery (Could be photos of the business office/place)
    • Add Page Modules: Page Modules are additional features you can add to a Page such as restaurant menu, list of services…etc.
    • If you have linked Apps/Pages/People (Read here what Linked Listings are) you can pick your linked Apps/Pages/People to this Page by writing the name in the Linked Listings field, select the Linking Type and then add it. You can add more than one linked App/Page/Profile. (Linked Listings not posted by you are subject to the approval of the APPlister who posted them).
    • Make sure you read & agree to the Terms of Service.
    • Click Submit to submit the Page for review.

    Note: You can also save the Listing as a draft if you don’t wish to submit it immediately and you’d want to get back to it at any time.

  31. How to list your profile in People Listing?
    People Listing is the actual account you sign up with. All you need to do is to edit your profile and sort it in the right category/sub-category with the matching tags as well as adding your bio information and portfolio…etc.
    It only takes a few moments. Follow the steps below:
    • Make sure you’re logged in and head to user’s dashboard and go to ‘My Profile (People Listing)’.
    • Check whether you want the profile to be public (Showing to public in the People’s section), or private.
    • Write the name of the Profile (The official person’s name).
    • Write your unique handle and make sure it’s available.
    • The handle of the Profile (The direct link to the Profile) on APPlist shows as it’s set when you first sign up. If you want to edit it, you can submit to edit the handle’s name that will go under process and to be approved by the APPlist admins.
    • Choose the profile picture.
    • Choose the header image for the Profile.
    • Choose the display country.
    • Choose the Category of the Profile.
    • Choose the Sub-Category of the Profile.
    • Add at least one tag, while writing the tag autocomplete appears; In case the tag doesn’t exist in our tag pool, you can submit the new tag as a suggestion which will go under process to be approved and officially added in APPlist.
    • Now you have the primary categorization of this Listing.
    • You can repeat the previous 4 steps (Country – Category – Sub-Category – Tag) to create Mirrors.
    • Write down your biography.
    • Add Profile Modules: Modules are additional sections in the profile depending on the profession or field, such as Publications, Music works, Videos, Awards, Education…etc.
    • Add the links for the Profile (e.g. website, social networks…etc.)
      (You can click on the plus sign to add more links or on the minus sign to remove any)
    • If you have linked Apps/Pages/People (Read here what Linked Listings are) you can pick your linked Apps/Pages/People to this Profile by writing the name in the Linked Listings field, select the Linking Type and then add it. You can add more than one linked App/Page/Person. (Linked Listings not posted by you are subject to the approval of the APPlister who posted them).
    • Make sure you read & agree to the Terms of Service.
    • Click Submit to submit the app for review.

    Note: You can also save the Listing as a draft if you don’t wish to submit it immediately and you’d want to get back to it at any time.

  32. How long does it take until my App/Page/Profile is published on APPlist?
    • The moment you submit your app/page on APPlist, APPlist admins will be reviewing your listing and will approve it shortly within 48 hours from submission, unless it has comments or changes need to be done, then you’ll be notified about it.

  33. How can I see/edit my Listings?
    • Go to your user’s dashboard -> Click on your Listing type under ‘My Listings’ so you can pick from My Apps, My Pages or Profile in People List.
    • You’ll have a list of your Listings. (except for the profile).
    • Select the Listing you want to edit and click on the edit button then submit. (Edits to Listings will go also through approval procedures to make sure all Listings are proper and along with the terms and conditions of APPlist).
  34. How can I see/add/remove my feeds?
    • To post a feed, head to user’s dashboard -> Click on My Apps, My Pages or My Profile’ and from the upper right corner, find the Feeds icon, click on it, select the Listing, type the content and post.
    • Feeds can’t be removed by default, but you can send a request to APPlist moderation team in this regard.
  35. How can I see Apps/Pages/People I’m following?
    • Go to user’s dashboard you’ll see a list of all options related to your user account.
    • Under ‘Follow & Reviews’ section you can see ‘Following Apps’ or ‘Following Pages’ or ‘Following People’ inside each you’ll see a list of Apps, Pages or  People you’re following.
  36. How can I see reviews on my App/page/profile?
    • You can find the reviews on your Listings in the last section when you view your Listing details, and you reply to or report any review you have on your profile from there.
    • You can only reply once to each review.
  37. How can I see reviews I wrote on other Apps/Pages/people?
    • Go to user’s dashboard under ‘Follow & Reviews’ -> Click on ‘My Reviews’.
    • You can view/ remove any of your reviews & ratings from there as well as you can see the APPlister response
  38. How can I see my followers and how to remove a follower?
    • Go to user’s dashboard -> Click on ‘My Followers’ under ‘Follow’ section.
    • You’ll see a list of your followers and what App/Page/Profile of yours they’re following, along with dates of following and options to block or remove.
    • Find the follower you want to remove and click on the remove button next to it.
    • Confirm removal and the follower will be removed and not following you anymore.

  39. How can I block an account?
    • You can visit any account profile (People profile) and on the top of the profile next to the name of the profile owner you will find the block button, click on it and confirm the message that this account will be blocked from seeing your profile or updates, or messaging you…etc. Confirm the message and the profile will be blocked of your profile and won’t be able to find you or communicate with you on APPlist.
    • Alternatively, you can go to ‘My Followers’ under ‘Follow’ section.
    • You’ll see a list of your followers and what App/Page/Profile of yours they’re following, along with dates of following and options to block or remove.
    • Find the follower you want to block and click on the block button next to it.
    • Confirm the block and the account will be totally blocked of your profile and won’t be able to find you or communicate with you on APPlist.
  40. How can I change my profile picture?
    • Go to user’s dashboard -> under the ‘My Listings’, click on ‘My Profile’, or from user’s dashboard -> under the ‘APPlister Settings’, click on ‘Account Settings’.
    • Click on your profile picture, and then choose the picture you want.
    • The picture will be uploaded and cropped in a circle shape.
    • If you’re happy with the new picture go all the way down and click Submit.

  41. How can I change my privacy settings?
    • Go to your user’s dashboard -> under ‘APPlister Settings’ click on ‘Privacy Settings’
    • You’ll be directed to the privacy settings page where you can change many of privacy settings including, who sees your profile picture, who can see your profile and contact information (Date of birth, mobile number, country, address,…etc.). As well as, who can see your comments and reviews on Listings, and who can see your followers and more.
    • You can pick if you want any of the mentioned to be viewed by public, or only your followers or only you.

  42. How can I change settings for emails I receive from APPlist?
    • Go to user’s dashboard -> under ‘APPlister Settings’ click on ‘Mail & Notification Settings’.

  43. How can I change my password?
    • Go to user’s dashboard -> under the ‘APPlister Settings, click on ‘Account Settings’.
    • Check the checkbox down ‘Change my password’, then enter your new password and re-enter it again to confirm the new password and click on Submit.

  44. I have a question not answered here, how can I ask for support?
    • Go to user’s dashboard -> Under ‘APPlister Settings’ click on ‘Support’.
    • Fill the form including the type of support, the topic, the subject and your question.
    • If you have more details you can fill it in and if you needed to provide media files such as screenshots you can attach them and click ‘Send’.
